Julie Orlove ``Jewels``
Hello there! My name is Julie Orlove, also known as “Jewels,” and I am the CEO of Tattooing in Joliet. I have been a professional tattoo artist in the Joliet area for about 30 years now. I started out as an apprentice at Jess’s Fine Line Tattoos in Joliet under the guidance of Jess Casson. After a few years, Jess sold the shop, and it was purchased by Wolfs in the late 1990s. Between 1998 and 2002, I worked in several states, including Michigan, Tennessee, Texas, and Indiana. In 2002, I returned to Joliet and started working at Fleshgear in Rockdale, and the rest is history.
My life revolves around my family, my work family, and tattooing. My husband, kids, and grandkids mean the world to me. When I am not working, I like to cook and garden. My husband and I also enjoy going to metal shows, and we are big fans of the band Slayer!
As an artist, I would say that I am well-rounded, and I enjoy doing a little bit of everything, from traditional black and gray to color tattoos. I’m very grateful to have the best and most loyal clients, and to be able to do something I love as a profession for the past 30 years and counting!
